Alright well a good thing to keep in mind is where your hairline is and stuff and what kind of hair line. The two main ones is just your regular hair line and then there’s the widows peak (more rare).
Then another good thing to think of when drawing hair is the part, this will control where things like bangs will fall and what not. Hair strands also won’t go past the hair line unless you have a character with a receding hairline in which case you would draw the hair line further up the head.
I draw my hair pretty chunky rather then lots of strands but this is how I go about it.
After I finish drawing the hair I’ll colour it, then add some shading starting from the part.
It’s good to keep in mind on your light source and where the light will hit the hair when adding highlights. After I get the shading and lighting figured out I just render until I’m happy with it.
And then once I’m done rendering I’ll add a few little shine highlights and then I’m done.
Walla! painty pink hair.
